Ideal for sharing with friends, pairing with local cheese, or simply enjoying a true taste of Somerset craftsmanship.

5) Jack’s Zero - Alcohol Free Cider Done Properly

Jack’s Zero proves that alcohol free doesn’t have to mean flavour free. Crafted using the same Somerset apple know-how as Jack’s Original, this alcohol free cider delivers a crisp, refreshing apple hit without the alcohol.

It’s light, clean, and genuinely satisfying, making it a solid option whether you’re cutting back, driving, training, or just fancy a proper cider without the buzz. No gimmicks, no weird aftertaste, just straightforward, well-made Somerset cider at zero percent.

If you’ve ever been disappointed by alcohol free cider before, Jack’s Zero is well worth a second look.

Jack's Zero Cider | Wookey Brewing Co
Jack’s Zero is our alcohol free take on classic Somerset cider – crisp, refreshing and full of character, just without the alcohol effects. Made to the exact same recipe as our famous Jack’s Cider, it delivers the same honest apple flavour and easy-drinking balance that cider lovers know and love. Crafted Like Real Cider – Because It IsWe start Jack’s Zero exactly as we do Jack’s Cider: with a carefully selected blend of Somerset apples, pressed and fermented to develop a rounded, medium cider profile. Only once the cider is fully developed do we remove the alcohol, so you get the true depth, body and flavour of a traditional cider, not a sugary soft drink. How We Remove the AlcoholTo create Jack’s Zero, we use a unique vacuum de-alcoholisation process in our facility. Under reduced pressure, alcohol can be removed at much lower temperatures than normal boiling, which means we can gently separate the alcohol without “cooking” the cider or stripping away its character. This careful process allows us to: Preserve the body and mouthfeel of the original cider Retain the fresh apple aroma and flavour Maintain a clean, balanced finish without harshness or sweetness The result is a medium cider that tastes like cider should – bright, appley and satisfying – just at 0.5% ABV. Why 0.5% Is Still Alcohol FreeJack’s Zero contains 0.5% ABV, a trace amount that helps keep the body, structure and flavour of the cider intact, without any of the effects of alcohol. In Europe, the USA, Australia, New Zealand and many other countries, 0.5% is classified as alcohol-free – it’s the globally recognised standard for alcohol free beer and cider. Even after 10 pints at 0.5%, it’s impossible for this amount of alcohol to raise your BAC (Blood Alcohol Content). Trace levels of alcohol at or above 0.5% are also naturally present in many everyday foods and drinks, including: Over-ripe bananas A slice of rye bread A glass of orange juice Even a standard burger bun So you can enjoy Jack’s Zero with confidence – it’s crafted to taste like real cider, while remaining alcohol free by internationally accepted standards. Taste Profile Style: Medium cider Flavour: Fresh, crisp apple with gentle sweetness and a rounded, medium body Finish: Clean, balanced and refreshing, with no lingering stickiness Best served: Well chilled, straight from the bottle or poured into a glass Perfect for designated drivers, midweek evenings, long lunches, or anyone who wants the full cider experience without the alcohol.

Why Wookey’s logo is actually really clever

Wookey Brewing Logo

Their “W” isn’t just a random letter. It’s made from two Vs, inspired by old protective marks found in historic buildings and places, including local sites around the Wookey area.

The double V symbol is often linked to protective “witch marks” and historic Marian marks, basically old-school ways people tried to keep bad stuff out. Wookey turned that into their own “W” and built the whole identity around local folklore, caves, and “stay supernatural” vibes.

It’s clean, it’s memorable, and it’s got an actual story behind it!

What Being a Wookey Brewing Co Brand Ambassador Means

Being a Wookey Brewing Co brand ambassador means more than just drinking the beers on camera. It’s about working directly with the brewery to tell the full story behind the brand, the people, and the ideas that shape every beer and cider they produce.

Over the coming months, I’ll be featuring Wookey Brewing Co across the channel and the blog, covering everything from individual beer reviews and cider tastings to deeper dives into the branding, symbolism, and folklore that runs through the range. That includes the meaning behind the iconic double-V logo, the cave symbols used across the cans, and how each beer connects back to Somerset’s pubs and local history.

You’ll also see regular Wookey content appearing across social media, with posts, clips, and updates shared and tagged on both sides. If you want to follow along directly, you can find Wookey Brewing Co on Instagram and Facebook, where they share new releases, offers, and behind-the-scenes updates from the brewery.

It also means giving viewers and readers a direct way to support the brewery. I’ll be linking to Wookey beers, ciders, and mixed cases throughout the content, using an exclusive discount code where available, so if something catches your eye, you can try it for yourself straight away. By the way, that code is my usual one - THEHOPPERREVIEWS, and Wookey Brewing Co have kindly agreed to give you Hopperettes a 15% discount.

This isn’t about scripted praise or glossy marketing. The content will stay honest, informative, and accessible, focusing on the beer, the story, and why Wookey Brewing Co is worth paying attention to.

It’s not going to be forced weekly content. It’ll drop when there’s something worth featuring, like a beer, a cider, a mixed box, or something seasonal they want to push.
