London Tipple brings West Coast hops to London cask beer

1 min read

Fuller’s Pub Company and independent brewer Jiddler’s Tipple have unveiled London Tipple, a 4.1% ABV West Coast IPA developed collaboratively over 15 months. The beer takes the malt character of classic London cask beer and adds a modern West Coast hop profile. Cascade, Centennial and Amarillo hops deliver grapefruit, pine and resinous notes, balanced by caramel malt and a clean, refreshing bitterness. It's vegan and gluten free. It will be on cask in over 70 Fuller’s pubs from 15 October and available to other pubs and venues through Jiddler’s Tipple, Dayla and Small Beer Wholesale. Jacob Liddle, founder of Jiddler’s Tipple, describes the aim as combining heritage and malt character with a modern IPA. James O’Connell, head of on-trade at Jiddler’s Tipple, notes that modern, hop-forward cask styles can connect with drinkers who might not have considered real ale, and that more such beers are planned.
