Hooch Goes Draft: A 90's Classic Hits UK Pubs on Tap

Fans of nostalgic beverages, rejoice! Hooch, the iconic 90s alcopop, is making a big splash in UK pubs with the launch of its new draught format. Global Brands has introduced Hooch Lemon on tap, bringing its classic blend of vodka and real fruit juice straight to the bar.

A Big Reveal at the Northern Bar & Restaurant Show

The new draught format made its debut at the Northern Bar and Restaurant Show in Manchester earlier this week, turning heads with its bold, nostalgic branding. Set to roll out across UK venues from May 2025, this marks a major step forward for ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages in the on-trade sector.

Why Draught Hooch?

Hooch has always been a go-to for those who love bold flavours and easy-drinking refreshment. The move to draught service isn’t just about convenience—it’s about speed, visibility, and nostalgia. With the RTD market booming, pubs are looking for new ways to serve up drinks quickly while maintaining quality. A draught system means quicker pours, less bar congestion, and better sales volume.

Designed for Impact

To support the launch, Global Brands has developed custom tap handles and branded glassware, ensuring Hooch stands out on the bar. Let’s face it—fridge space in a busy pub is premium real estate. Putting Hooch on tap makes it impossible to miss and gives customers an easy, visible choice.

According to Hooch brand manager Jacob Barrett, this launch is a “major milestone” for the brand, making 2025 one of its biggest years yet. With RTDs like Hooch and Reef enjoying a resurgence, this move puts them on equal footing with beer and cider, making them a mainstay at the bar rather than just a fridge option.

A New Era for a 90s Icon

Hooch’s return to the spotlight has been fuelled by nostalgia and evolving drinking trends. With 53% of its drinkers aged 18-44, it’s clear that both millennials and Gen Z are embracing this throwback beverage. The move to draught makes sense—speedy service, eye-catching branding, and a drink that delivers on flavour.

Where Can You Try It?

Hooch Draught will be available in select UK pubs from May 2025, with more venues set to follow. If you’re a fan of bold, fruity drinks and a bit of 90s nostalgia, keep your eyes peeled for that bright yellow tap handle at your local bar.
